Acura está construyendo un sedán estupendo para Pebble Beach

Acura Precision Concept

A production-ready version of the Acura Precision concept will likely debut later this year

The styling from Acura’s beautiful Precision concept, which debuted in 2016, may finally be fully seen on a production car, likely to be revealed at Pebble Beach.

According to Car and Driver, a production-ready version of the stunning concept will debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance — an event known for its beautiful (and often priceless) vehicles. We’re sure you’ll agree the production-spec Precision, pegged as Acura’s flagship, will fit right in.

However, the new car won’t be alone in receiving the same styling treatments and design cues. A few other vehicles due for a revamp could also draw inspiration, including the next-generation TLX sedan and MDX crossover.

As for the RLX, which was recently refreshed with a look similar to the Precision, it continues to be a slow-seller for Acura. This, along with the new flagship, could mean the RLX is on the chopping block. The other possibility is the production-spec Precision could outright replace the RLX, but with a different name.

Acura’s been lagging behind parent company Honda in terms of innovation, which isn’t a good look for a luxury brand that’s supposed to be a leader. The Accord’s 10-speed transmission and the Civic Type R’s turbo-four, for instance, were kept away from Acura, making the brand fairly irrelevant — save for the NSX.
